Knights Land 30 on GCAC 2024 Honor Roll, Freshman Beninato Scores Perfect GPA

NEW ORLEANS - The Gulf Coast Athletic Conference announced its 2024 Honor Roll Friday, and 30 Knights were recognized as the top scholar-athletes in the conference. Freshman Collin Beninato led the Knights with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Student-athletes qualified by posting at least a 3.0 grade-point average in the semester their sport ended. Four scholars are dual-sport athletes, and 11 earned a 3.50 or higher.

"A strong department starts with academic excellence," said SUNO Director of Athletics James Matthews. "We have high standards for our student-athletes and continuously drive home the importance of being strong in the classroom. With four sports, nearly half of our student-athletes made the conference honor roll this year, and I expect this list to grow as our program grows."
