Lantigua Earns All-Tournament Honors after Impressive Championship Tournament Play

Knights' third baseman Damian Lantigua was selected to the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference 2024 Hope Credit Union Baseball Championship All-Tournament Team. In three games, the junior batted an impressive .500, including a season-high .750  in the Knights' 10-4 win over the Panthers.

During the tournament, Lantigua scored four runs, had five hits and five RBIs. In the three games, he hit a single, double, triple, and a home run and was walk four times. Once on base, Lantigua proved why SUNO has been a threat to opponents all season, snatching three stolen bases. He went 2-for-4 with runners on base and had three RBIs with two outs on the board.

His three hits against Philander Smith marked a season-high.

Lantigua ends the 2024 campaign as a top-five leader in nearly every offensive category for the Knights. He notched 45 total bases with a .476 on-base percentage. He scored 30 runs on 32 hits and chipped in 24 RBIs. He was walked 24 times this season while stealing base 20 times on 22 attempts.
